Very simple! Just open the guide and start walking around the city. When you get close a landmark, the guide will show a card (like the one you see here) by clicking on the button, you will be able to hear the story of the landmark.

How do I subscribe to the service?
After signing up for the service, you have a 1-day trial to try out Colombo Guide. After the trial period, you will be asked to subscribe to the service.
Is there a mobile app available?
Currently, Colombo Guide does not have a mobile app. However, we are actively working on developing one to enhance your experience. In the meantime, Colombo Guide supports Progressive Web App (PWA) technology. You can pin our web app to your home screen, and it will work and look like a native app, providing a seamless user experience. Stay tuned for updates as we progress toward launching our mobile app.
What is the most comfortable way to use Colombo App?
I suggest walking around the city you are visiting. When you approach a landmark and want to know more about it, open Colombo Guide and listen to the story behind the landmark.
Secret Tip: Use earphones so you can always listen to the stories without disturbing others.
Do I need an internet connection to use the guide?
Yes. The app uses your location to provide you with the most relevant information about the landmarks and must download the audio to play for each story. We are planning on adding offline support in the future.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription at any time by going to your profile page in the app and clicking the "Manage Subscription" button. In that menu, you will also be able to change your subscription plan or manage your payment methods.
How often is the content updated?
Our content is AI generated using public knowledge about the landmarks. As the models improve, we start updating the stories that have been generated.
Can I get a refund if I'm not satisfied?
We offer a daily plan for you to use the service without much commitment. If you are not satisfied, you can cancel your subscription at any time, without having spent a lot of money.
In any case, if you are not satisfied, we would be happy to hear about your experience to improve the service.

What type of landmarks and sites does the guide cover?
The guide covers historical landmarks, cultural sites, museums, parks, and popular tourist spots. Often, we discover even hidden gems that are not well-known.
Can I customize my tour experience?
We are working on new features to help you customize your tour experience, like an option to choose from your favourite categories.
